Create a New Wiki
  • Go to a Content Area/Folder
    • Blackboard course come with two default Content Areas: Content and Information, located on the Left Menu

  • Click Tools tab

  • Click Create New Wiki

  • Fill in name and other necessary information

  • Select Yes by Wiki Availability
  • Select any Standard Options wanted

  • Click Submit

  • Click Link to a Wiki
  • Select Wiki

  • Select any Standard Options wanted

  • Click the Wiki you just created to add content

Create first wiki page
  • Go to the Wiki

  • Fill in the page name
  • Add content

Add additional pages
  • Go to the Wiki

  • Click Create Wiki Page

  • Add content

Edit Wiki Content
  • Go to the Wiki

  • Click Edit Wiki Content on the page you wish to edit

Link to a Previously Made Wiki
  • Go to a Content Area/Folder

  • Select the Wiki to link to

Delete a Wiki
  • Mouse over the name of the wiki

  • Click the arrow next to the name to open the Context Menu

Advanced Options
Student Access to editing: Select whether Students are able to edit their posts
Student Comment Access: Select whether Students are able to comment
Grade Wiki:Selecting this option allows you to grade the Journal. You can set points possible and add a rubric if you wish.
